NexGard Spectra for Small Cats and Kittens

Monthly parasite prevention. Matched to early growth and changing weight.

All-in-one monthly spot-on parasite prevention covering both internal and external parasites in kittens from 8 weeks of age (minimum 0.8 kg) and small cats under 2.5 kg. Used during early development when weight is changing and regular reassessment matters, and for small adult cats who are breeding, pregnant, or nursing.

What this supports

  • Broad external parasite protection
Covers fleas, paralysis ticks, and ear mites during early life stages when exposure risk begins.

  • Internal parasite coverage during growth
Covers roundworms, tapeworms, lungworms, and heartworm in a single treatment, reducing the need to combine multiple products during kittenhood.

  • Protection matched to development
Monthly dosing allows care to adapt as kittens grow and weight changes over time, supporting regular reassessment during rapid physical development.

How to use this treatment

Apply once monthly to the skin at the base of the skull, following standard spot-on application guidance.

Avoid touching the application site until dry. Handling should be limited during the drying period, and treated cats should not sleep with people — particularly children — on the day of application.

What this treatment is — and is not

This is monthly parasite prevention for kittens from 8 weeks of age (minimum 0.8 kg) and small cats under 2.5 kg, including small adult cats who are breeding, pregnant, or nursing.

It is not suitable for cats weighing 2.5 kg or more. As kittens grow beyond this range, a different formulation strength is required.

When to pause and seek guidance

If skin reactions occur at the application site, or if there is uncertainty about current weight or appropriate product strength, a veterinary-informed conversation is recommended before continuing treatment.
