When we recommend NexGard Spectra for kittens
Kittens grow quickly. In three months — the interval at which Felpreva is applied — a kitten’s weight can change enough to move them into a different dosing range.
Monthly protection keeps the treatment matched to the cat throughout that growth. Each application becomes a reassessment.
NexGard Spectra for kittens provides broad protection against major internal and external parasites from eight weeks of age until your cat reaches 2.5 kg, at which point the adult formulation becomes the more appropriate choice.
It is also the option we recommend for small adult cats under 2.5 kg who are breeding, pregnant, or nursing.
Three months is the right interval for a stable adult cat.
It is too long for a kitten.
