Bravecto Plus for Large Cats

When we recommend Bravecto Plus

Felpreva covers most adult cats.
But its approved weight range ends at 8 kg.

For larger cats, using multiple Felpreva applications is possible - but it is not usually the simplest or most practical long-term approach.
Bravecto Plus provides broad parasite protection within a single application across a higher weight range, making it the more appropriate option for many cats over 8 kg.

The dosing interval is ten weeks rather than three months, but the principle remains the same: fewer applications across the year, less handling, and more consistent long-term protection.

One important difference is that Bravecto Plus does not include tapeworm coverage. Cats using Bravecto Plus will still require separate tapeworm treatment where appropriate.

This is the option we generally recommend for cats above Felpreva’s weight range.
